In the sun-drenched vineyards of California, a tale of untapped potential unfolds. Mexican-Americans, a vital force in sustaining the state's thriving wine industry, find themselves underrepresented in the realm of grape and wine production. Despite their tireless efforts in the vineyards, they occupy only a mere 1 percent of the approximately 4,800 wine producers in the region. A lack of opportunity casts a shadow upon their dreams.
Amidst this disparity, David Salazar, raised in a Monterey County vineyard, recognized the industry's injustice. Inspired by his father's resilience, he founded Reclamación Wines to reclaim the rightful place of Mexican winemakers.
